As Peter has already mentioned, the Perth Crit Series is on over the next 4 days starting Friday evening (tonight).
There will be some spectacular racing including Ryan with the WAR team
and the Fleet Elite girls (as well as a few other familiar faces).
Let’s look forward to having an SPR team (or two)Â out there for next year’s series!
All the event information is on the Trievents website.
Don’t forget to set your DVD recorder for Sunday
though… The sunday Crits are on at the same time as the live coverage of the final stage of the Tour Down Under.
I highly recommend getting along to these races, they are great fun to watch. With the bonus that you will actually get to see Ryan suffer 😉
Best of luck to Ryan and all the other competitors
Just FYI, the (small) pics that scroll across the main page of http://www.perthcyling.com.au were taken on the Perth Crits in Vic Park last year.
I’ll be taking some more this time around as well.
cheers
sorry, I meant http://www.perthcycling.com.au/
I just wanted to say a massive CONGRATULATIONS to Lisa for her first crit series. What an awesome effort, and I think she really ought be recognised for all the hours she has put in and the sensational results she has realised in such a short amount of time. Lisa and McLovin Wood and a sure fire winning team. Good on you Lisa!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
I agree, Lisa did awesome and should be congratulated for her efforts and taking the step up. It was great to have her as part of our team and look forward to her being right up there next year. Well done Lisa.
I’d also like to reiterate what the Becs have just said. I can remember Lisa’s first Saturday rides with SPR and it shows how rapidly you can improve if you’re prepared to put in some work and have the courage to give racing (and riding with harder groups) a go.
Well done to all the girls and Ryan. It doesn’t go unnoticed, hopefully, that those who are successful or improving a lot do have a reasonably regular connection with SPR. The rest of us bathe in the reflected glory of riding with “our” State champions and such regular podium placers.
It does suggest that, if we do become a club, nurturing talent should not be a problem.
Thank you for your kind comments – support was great over the weekend and it was really cool to see a field of South Perth Rouleurs hats around the courses and in pictures 😉
