SPR had a fantastic turnout last weekend at the crit in Wangara. All up we had about 15 SPR riders out there flying the club colours. There is another crit being held this Sunday – it would be great to see a similar turnout this weekend. Might seem like a lot of racing, and I’m sure there will be some of you who would prefer the long ride over the hills, but keep in mind Pete’s last post and the importance of supporting these local events. Further more next Sunday is forecast to be a really hot day so a short blast in the morning might be a better option anyway!
Plus it would be awesome to see SPR repeat last weeks success!
So for those of us who aren’t jetting over to the see the start of the TDU here are the details:
NDCC Criterium
Location: WA Newspapers, Hasler Road, Herdsman
Cost: Noms are $15, day license is $33 if required.
Time : A – 8:00; B & C – 8:45 (maybe earlier)
Its a longer course compared to last week and looks a bit flatter too. If it looks like we have enough numbers I can take the tent out for some shade.
See you there!
Toby
Just after I finished B grade and was standing at the start waiting for C & A to begin, and couple of guys commented to me that it was great to see SPR with a good number of riders in C grade. Other clubs are noticing and as Toby said we need to support the other clubs too. NDCC do organise a good event.
I’ll be there- I can go and get the SPR tent from Julian if you guys want- if there is going to be a few of us that is…???
The MFCC/NDCC 2010 Crit Season Calendar can be found here – http://www.mfcc.org.au/calendar.php
I’ll be there again trying to stick in with B !!! The course is flat but some of the corners are a little more hairier – Also there can be a huge head wind on the front straight which means on the back straight it all kicks off and no-one sees!!!!!
see you there 😉
i’m in for cat ‘c’. do we need to register b4 the day or can we just turn up?
Just turn up and nominate on the day.
thanks Toby…just need to know the start times – sorry in advance if i’ve blind.
C-grade is starting at 8:45 – but as the course is bigger and its going to be hot NDCC said they might get C-grade rolling earlier.
See you all there.
Hey, I want to give racing a go. Might jump in for the C grade
Hey Ronan! Way to go! Will see you there mate 🙂

According to the NDCC website the times are:
A Grade 50mins +2 laps 8:45am
B Grade 40mins +2 laps 8:00am

Does anyone know which is actually correct?
The times are correct Davina. A&C are on the course at the sa
e time. B starts and finishes first.
