SPR and RCCC are assisting SDCC in hosting Renae’s Race this year.  The reason is pretty simple – we had the course booked for our criterium series, but have decided that as Renae’s Race is a special race for the ladies we would let SDCC use the course.  In addition to this SDCC are a good club with lots of fine folk so we wanted to help out!

Unfortunately we have all been a bit distracted by the Smokefree Perth Crit series this week, so Renae’s Race has kind of snuck up us.  Luckily, as this is a three club venture our involvement is pretty minimal.

So what do we need?  A handful of corner marshals and a couple of people to do the refreshment desk.  SPR will basically be in charge of refreshments and providing our tents etc.  Thats all.

And of course we would love to see everyone head down to either spectate, support or ‘woman-up’ and race!  And yes – before you as there is racing on for the boys too!

There is a women’s B-grade going so this may provide an opportunity for the ladies who have been dipping a toe into criterium racing to have a bash.

Nominations close tonight (I said we were running late right?), but noms will also be taken on the day for an extra $5.
