On arriving at work this morning I was advised that a friend and colleague was involved in an incident whilst riding through Fremantle at about 7:30am this morning.

Craig is in hospital, presently be assessed for surgery; early
reports are that he has a broken leg (protruding) and other as yet undefined injuries to his hip.
What we do out there can be dangerous. Let’s be safe; look after each other.
Sad to hear this. Let us know of any up dates.
Sincerely hope the rider has good recovery and is good pointer to be safe. On the other hand would be a good pointer to the selfish SCT Truck driver who carelessly drove through the SPR Group ride last Sunday at speed. Only pure luck nobody was hurt
I live with a little bit of fear of cars, trucks and buses. While on a bus tour a while ago I sat up front and heard the drivers comments as he drove close past every cyclist. With the backing of others I think I ensured that he had a change of career when he got back to the office.
On a more serious note, I’m working to get commitment and funding to complete the Perth Bicycle Network and for Councils to place separation between cars and our bodies where possible.
Best wishes for recovery for the rider involved today.
Hey Rambo, any news on Craigs treatment/recovery and or any outcome of investigation into the incident?
Hope Craig is on the mend.
