Hi All,
If you haven’t yet volunteered to help with the State road champs, which SPR is jointly providing (you can volunteer if you’ve forgotten), then we can only assume you’re racing, well done!
This is should be a great event on a course that should provide something for everyone. Have a chat to riders of similar ability tomorrow at Dome to discuss entry and tactics. Tour of Margaret River riders (that are CWA C grade and above) should use this as an opportunity to race with your team mates as a practise run)

Cost
Cost: $50* (Processing fee is in addition to the entry fee)

I’m in.
Old fellas race for me.
Ditto for me
Ill see if I can stay with Mr Bonner in old fellas
On this course, it won’t be an issue, JG (especially as you’re back to full TT form).
I’ll see if I can stay with Gilbo trying to stay with Mr B
Is it okay if I tag along with you guys??
I’ve signed on for the oldies race too.
masters race for me. even more reason that we need to get our volunteers organised.
Volunteers are standing by and awaiting further instruction on the volunteers post.
I am in.. Will be trying to stay ‘UP’ with Stuart who is trying to stay ‘UP’ with Gilbo who is trying to stay ‘UP’ with mr B 🙂
Looks like we’ve found a designated sprinter.
A Grade for me
me too 🙂
B grade! just signed up. Anyone else doing B? Paul? Matty W? Sam L?
Yep, B for me.
I’ll be there
Still got the leftovers of last weeks cough/cold so don’t think I’ll be riding 🙁
Are you allowed to ride up a grade? I’m listed as C grade.
Yep just email Cycling WA and ask to be moved up.
Ok B-grade it is. Tucked in somewhere behind Paul, Dave and Des hopefully.
Change of plan, just whacked an entry in.
Can anyone confirm the actual times for the race because whats on the facedork page is different to the flyer on here and cycling WA.
Sign in by 07:45 for an 08:00 staggered start according to the updated flyer. I think it was updated this afternoon.
I’m in for B grade
Despite being left feeling completely demoralized after the UCI laps ride, Mr Barratt has talked me into giving C grade a shot.
The ‘old’ UCI course is fairly unforgiving, Callum. You’ll find Sunday’s course more to your liking as long as the cross-winds aren’t too apparent.
Is it flat?
Disappointingly so. 50 meter elevation gain per 10km lap.
I’ll be pedantic and say it’s a zero elevation gain per lap. It’s actually 50 m going up and 50 m going down.
There I go, thinking like my Garmin again.
Mr B corrected, I never thought I would see the day.. 😉
A few of us volunteers will be meeting at the narrows (CBD side), and departing at 05:45 prompt to ride to the event. We should arrive before 07:00. Any other volunteers or indeed racers who fancy getting up there a bit early are welcome to join.
