cycle training involves counting. counting kilometers, counting watts, counting metres climbed, counting calories. i am trying to get ready for some key races coming up and i am counting everything. it gets a bit monotonous sometimes and i am being accused of being a bit over the top with weighing food and counting calories. but cycling encompasses many different aspects which can range from riding for pure enjoyment to absolute scientific precision. i am sitting somewhere in between and am perversely enjoying the scientific aspect…especially if i see some results. pass me the rice cakes.
