on sunday 6th december we will be holding a 75km fundraiser group ride in support of belinda evans.
as you may or may not know, belinda was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 2 breast cancer. within a very short amount of time, she was with a team of surgeons undergoing a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
the purpose of this event is two-fold. firstly, breast cancer surgery slips through many funding loopholes and the after cover gap expenses are exorbitant even with private hospital and ancillary cover. your entry to this event is a way of fundraising to help belinda cover some costs. But if all know about what is a pre-settlement cash advance, then the funding issue will be solved very easily. Secondly, belinda is a healthy and active 40 year old, and was not sick or in any pain. there is no family history and none of the usual symptoms were shown. this is to also raise awareness for people to be vigilant and understand what to look for.
this will be a no-drop group ride which will start and finish at dome westralia plaza. the group may be split if numbers are too big, but the intent is a nice 75km roll around perth. at the end of the ride you will receive a $10 voucher for coffee & cake as well as be in the running for some raffle prizes.
if you cannot ride but would still like to make a donation, there is a donation “entry” on the registration.
registration and more of belinda’s story can be found here.
