Thanks David, valuable info as you had a chance to ride and compare both 2012 and 13 models. After a bit of research I’ve narrowed down to Scott team and Basso Astra, as you might know the second one is an Italian brand not as famous as Pinarelo or Bianchi but it seems it’s a decent bike at lower price. it’s fitted with super record groupset and Micro Tech wheels. I personally haven’t seen any basso on the road but it seems that bike force has imported a lot and we should be see more of em in the future. They have this bike on special offer at 6K (down from 9k), talked to one of the local shops and he said he might be able to match the price for me to 5.5k.
This bike is a little bit heavier than the scott team (7.2 vs 6.7kg) maybe because it has alloy handle bar and seat post.
Currently I ride a Wilier (an entry level with ultegra groupset) I wanna get myself to the next level, what’s your opinion? have u heard of Basso at all?
