If Mass A increases force over the time period of the shift in its centre of mass, relative to the centre of mass of the linked A + B system, then could the perceived deceleration of Mass B be counteracted?
ie Should the centre of mass of the linked A + B system accelerate, due to Mass A’s increase in force, at a sufficient rate, then wouldn’t Mass B be perceived to have not been thrown backwards? It would have still moved backwards in relation to the centre of mass of the linked A + B system but not in relation to the wheel behind, which we assume has had no change in force or its centre of mass.
