I think after careful consideration of your arguments and in the interest of inclusion, fixie and SS it is. Plus you guys were the only ones to reply
For the route I was thinking we could go:
– through Nedlands;
– cross Stirling hwy at Christchurh;
– under the tunnel and then go up Claremont Crescent;
– Down Curtin ave and past Port beach to Stirling HWY
– Preston Point road, Burke Drive;
– Canning Hwy and onto cycle path at Canning bridge
– Down cycle path to the city.I have a garmin course (if it works).

That should eliminate most of the hills. A bit of a grind up The Avenue in Nedlands, Claremont Crescent and Preston point. But they should be ok. I ride home that way and was fine on my old SS. I was running 46:18.
But open to suggestions on the route.
I have a bit of a mix of old and new. Steel frame, carbon wheels, bars, cranks, seatpost and bottle cages. Although the wheels are an old set of Spinergy Rev x. So if you believe the internet forums they are liable to explode at any minute. So the added risk of my wheels blowing up should add that element of excitement to the ride
