Zipp 404 Zedtech Carbon Clincher wheelset – Needs new rear hub

I have for sale my trusty ZIPP Zedtech 404 Carbon Alloy clincher wheelset for sale. These are the version which was handbuilt in USA and comes with the dimpled carbon rims as well as dimpled hubs. Apparently they are no longer done this way as it costed too much.

Now, I want to be very frank and upfront about these wheels, so please read on carefully and have a close look at the photos.

I have had these for more than 2 years now, and I believe they have done lots of K’s (around 15K-20K?). I used them all the time for all weather and training as well as race. They have been serviced and I look after my stuff. They have always served me very well and I would be happy to keep riding them except for the below problem!

The rear hub is broken! It is cracked on the hub shell where it retains a spoke. I only noticed it when I noted that the wheel had come out of true. I must have gone over a pothole too many.

So… this wheelset is now ideal to rebuild into a power meter hub like the CycleOps PowerTap. Or you could rebuild them into whatever hub you want.

A couple other things:
– No cassette, tyres, tubes, quick release skewers or bags
– Shimano 10 Speed (NOT 11 speed compatible)
– Front rims have some marks when I had a flat tyre – does not affect braking surface
– Decals have some tears, but carbon seems unscratched
