I agree wholeheartedly. I’ve filled in a couple of times, I know what I’m doing in a bunch but I’m pretty lost when it comes to how to guide a bunch.

As for roll throughs and which way to roll, you base it on wind direction. You want to have people roll off into the wind if it’s not a straight headwind. This means that the people taking most of the wind resistance are going slower, thus saving the faster moving side from having to up their power. I.e wind coming from the right, means riders roll off to the right when they’ve hit the front.
