Ride up Front

It’s Ladies Day at SPR this Saturday, the last one for 2015!

It’s true, our SPR chicks have been really strutting their stuff lately! We have had many women representing SPR in racing this year. We have a wonderfully supportive group encouraging other ladies to improve and try new things on weekday/weekend group rides and other cycling  events. We are lucky to have such a supportive club that allows us the opportunity to explore our potential in such a positive way with other ladies of the same ability. It’s also a great way to explore your ride leader qualities!

Ladies Day has been a fun way to ride together, support, encourage each other and test our limits amongst our fellow female members without the temptation to hide behind our very tolerant, helpfully tall, and the wonderfully supportive men in our club.

Join us this Saturday and ‘RIDE UP FRONT’!! Our ladies groups will leave after each of the respective main groups of 1, 2 & 3.

Cycling Trip to Italy – June 2016

We recently had a well-attended info night to see if we can get a group of Rouleurs together for a cycling trip to Italy next year. We are very excited to announce there is now a core group of Rouleurs and a common itinerary forming for a trip, and it is becoming a reality!

The core plan is for two weeks commencing 19 June to 1 July as follows;

Outside of the dates above there are Rouleurs also heading to Cesenatico (Lungomare Bike Hotel) from 13 -18 June and possibly also Piedmont (Piedmont Bike Hotel) in preference to one of the above. The trip is still a hop-on, hop-off itinerary where you can choose to join and leave as it suits you. Join for two weeks or just a few days, we will be happy to have you along!

The first round of accommodation bookings will be taking place on Tuesday 1 December so if you are interested in joining us don’t hesitate to jump on board. Beyond this date you are still more than welcome to join the trip; however accommodation and pricing will be subject to availability as these are very popular summer cycling destinations.

A dropbox folder has been created to share information from the info night (including pricing, description of locations, rides, admin etc.) and plan the trip. If you are interested to know more, please message me with your email address for access.

Cycling in Italy is an amazing experience in its own right, sharing it with a group of Rouleurs will be a truly extraordinary experience!

All aboard for Italia…bici, vini, vivi!
