Main 2 ladies ride this Saturday!
This Saturday we will see the “fast and main 2” chicks doing it for themselves and strutting their stuff as a feminine collective setting off in their respective groups of ability.
We ladies who like to hide behind our male counterparts on a group ride have a lovely ride but, are you left wondering why you are not progressing as quickly as you would like? The answer you seek lay at the front and windy part of the pack!
Make this Saturday”s ride a stark reality check and healthy reference of your abilities against other ladies in the club without the guys to help us along. Our SPR blokes are an awesome support to us chicks and we wouldn”t be without them, but just one day a month we owe it ourselves to see what we can do!
Over the following month if you best online casino make your group rides count by taking your turn in the wind, we will see you at the next ‘ladies Saturday’ stronger and well on your way towards the fast chicks or even main 1 in the coming months!
I predict the average speed this Saturday will be around the 27-29kms/hr. Upload the ride route from the blog so you know your way. Bring enough to eat on the ride and prior, aswell as ample hydration. Main 3 will be hot on our tail. If you can”t hang on, don”t despair tuck in with Main 3 and come back next month to make it stick!
Everyone will be taking a turn big or small, this is a no hide ride!
Non members are welcome join in too!
Make a profound difference in 2015 and ride up front! Start small…but start!

Free Ladies Skills Sessions – Non Members welcome!
Saturday, 4th October – 7am – Coode St Jetty Car Park, South Perth
Thank you to all the ladies who braved the freezing cold and participated in the June ladies session. Despite all the teeth-chattering , the first session was a success!
A few of the ladies from the June session have gone onward and upward. Progressing from Novice to transition group and now enjoying their group rides in the main groups with confidence. They even rode in the Swan Valley Cyclo Sportif!
Here is some feedback from one of the participants…
I got sent a link for the SPR ladies skills day, I was keen and going has turned out to be the best decision I have made in 2014 to date. I learnt heaps, corrected lots of silly habits/mistakes I was making, most of which I wasn’t even aware of. An educational morning, with safety and enjoyment in mind, light hearted, friendly, that gave me enough of a taste for more which has resulted in SPR being a regular part of my life… Every Saturday in fact! Cycling has become the sport I have been looking for all my life and I have some great new friends too.
These sessions are friendly and full of helpful info to usher you into group riding with South Perth Rouleurs.
The skills covered in the session include; Braking (including unclipping quickly), Cornering, Roll throughs, Scanning, Communication (vocal and visual) & Safety information.
After the session we will all ride as a group to the Dome at Westralia Plaza for coffee at around 8:30am.
Your volunteers for the morning are; Carol Dowse, Michelle Bonner, Rosslind Ellis, Anke Bergmann and Leigh Outschoorn.
Bring a water bottle, helmet, any bike (road bikes are preferable).
Please no pedals with straps.
Any questions feel free to email me; leigh.outschoorn@y7mail.com
