MAYBE ONE MORE SPR TRI SUIT?

I had the pleasure of meeting Craig Alexander last Saturday while he was in town as an ambassador for last weekend’s Long Distance Champs.

RIDE WITH CAMERON MEYER – Perth Integrated Health Clinic Fundraiser

The Perth Integrated Health Clinic-Cycling Club is holding a special ride to to raise funds for one of their patients, Claire Anderson.

Cameron Meyer has kindly consented to be the lead buy cheap viagra rider for this PIHC special project. For those of you who aren’t aware, local boy Cameron is on the professional circuit with Team Garmin Slipstream.

Date: 19 September 2009, Saturday.

Time: Assemble time: 100 pm meet and greet with ride time at 130pm. Completion time estimated at: 400pm

Location: Point Walter Car Park (specifics will be emailed to those attending)

Distance: social ride for approximately 45 km primarily along the Great Perth Bike

Ride Route.

Category A: 30 km per hour or more

Category B: 25 to 29 km per hour

Category C: less than 24 hours per hour

– Category C will take off first with Cameron, followed by Category B and then Category A

– Cameron will ride with each Category in this non race social ride.

– Maximum of 80 riders on a first sign up basis.


Raise Funds for Claire Anderson

This social ride also has a purpose and that is to assist Claire Anderson who

suffers from Muscular Dystrophy achieve her dream of gaining greater muscular function and control through stem cell therapy in India.

Ian hopes that his fellow cyclists and friends will help PIHC raise funds for Claire to fulfill her desire for greater function and independence.


All riders who are to participate in this social ride event – entitled Ride with Cameron Meyer and Help Claire Anderson Project– will be asked to donate a minimal amount of $10 either in cash on the day or via EFTPOS.

PIHC staff will be on hand from 1200 noon to collect your donations. This time will also be an opportunity for everyone to meet both Cameron and Claire.

CYCLOSPORTIF – Byford Bike-A-thon – Sunday 23rd August

The next Cyclosportif event, the Byford Bike-A-thon is being held on Sunday 23rd August and takes in the scenery around Byford, the Serpentine Damn and Jarrahdale.

Byford is only 43km south of Perth

There is an opportunity for anyone involved in SPR  to participate as there are 3 different distances to choose from.swanv4

Distance B- 72 km
Distance C- 32 km

Each team comprises up to a maximum of 9 and a minimum of 5 riders for each event, with the overall team time (you must stick together) counting as the completed time.  This is NOT racing – it is about enjoying a challenge

with your team mates and ‘participating’ as a team not ‘winning’.

Let’s see if we can get as many SPR jerseys out there as we did for the Swan

Valley Event!!!

Cost is $45 pp for Cyclosportif members/ $60 pp for non-members

If you hold a current Cycling Australia racing license the cost is $45

Recreational and non-license holders will need to buy a “friend of Cyclosportif” day license to participate – $60 in total

PINJARRA CLASSIC – Sunday 2nd August

2nd August will see the 14th Pinjarra Classic, a blue ribbon Road cycling Race.

Plenty

of riders will be competing for $4000 in prizes and we are expecting a good turnout from SPR.

The 65 km circuit has some challenging hills with 25km of climbing along Dell Park Road and 12km

downhill onto the flats into Pinjarra.

There will be an

SPR base camp for competitors, supporters and brownie eaters!

Once again, there is an opportunity for anyone involved in SPR  to participate as there are 3 different distances to choose from.

A distance: 106km
B distance: 56km
C distance: 24KM
