champion systems criterium series 2010/2011
dates – 28th nov, 12th dec, 8th jan (3pm start), 30th jan, ??? feb.
location – technology park criterium circuit, brodie hall drive, bentley
times/grades – The following times can be used as a guide for starts:
d grade – 08:00 (20mins)
c grade – 08:30 (30mins)
b grade – 09:10 (40mins)
a grade – 10:00 (50mins)
costs – $10 on the day, registrations close 15min before each race. for non-ca licence holders – a single race day licence is $33, while a 3-race licence is available for $44. either of these will be required to ensure that not only you, but the people racing around you are covered in the unfortunate event of an accident.
other info – men and women will combine in each grade. there will be an accredited coach riding with d grade, with the focus of that grade being on development and building confidence, so if there is enough interest, the option exists for juniors to join in with that group as well.
series info – for each race the top ten riders in a, b & c grade will accumulate points towards a series championship. the points will be awarded as follows –
100, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 4
a separate women’s series will be held and points will be given for women that race and finish in b grade. points will be awarded as above, but based on their position as compared to other women in that race.
as d grade is for riders to gain experience in a race situation, there will be no series points awarded.
to be eligible for series prizes, a rider must have taken part in at least three races.
prize money – after each race the following prizes will be awarded –
a, b & c grade – 1st $50, 2nd $30, 3rd $20.
d grade – 1st $20, 2nd $15, 3rd $10.
a prize jersey will also be awarded to the first place in a grade and the first women in b grade.
at the end of the race series, the following prizes will be awarded –
a, b, c & women’s – 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50
prize jerseys for 1st – 3rd in a grade and women’s categories.
