Short riding days and Winery/Brewery finishes attract all levels of rider from national elite racers to beginners. So get training, its a great race on mint single track and fire trail. The sand will be technique based on holding momentum and ‘ floating’.

I’m putting together training rides for SPR members in the lead up to Cape to Cape. Focusing on skills not fitness.
Whats the preference on start time? Would you give up a Saturday road ride to MTB at 8am in the hills. I had planned on 1pm starts so that people could do an early bird or normal Saturday ride an then come play in the hills.

I think that EPIC is the only word for it!!! You Sir are a legend!! 🙂 (whatever your name is right now 😉 )

Looks pretty soft.
Nah, really, it sounds fantastic (especially for a C grader) and the pictures do it some sort of justice. Absolutely drooling over the profiles you covered, but only if they were on dry tarmac. Thanks for the write-up.

Great write up Nige/Pygmy/Rex (any other’s I’m missing?)
I saw the CyclingNews reports and the rain during the beginning of the week sounded awful. Couldn’t imagine riding through that mud, let alone with a bottom bracket that was making it even harder.
Even with that it looks almost tempting enough to want to do it. Almost, but not quite 🙂
Great stuff.

One Aloysius Parker has recently shown up on Strava… 🙂
