Mike-you are a legend, you pretty much answered everything, very informative readings, such a relief to know that it’s a common thing and dont just belong to me, additionally I wouldn’t feel bad next time to drop it down:)
Good suggestions, I’ll start with -20 probably it fixes up the problem.
My reading between the lines is that if the indoor…[Read more]

Hi guys,
Cause i’m not super fit as many as you are I thought I should share my confusion here. Is it normal to wind up and down the FTP setting in your indoor training sessions to cater for different type of interval training? particularly with Sufferfest intervals which are generally more complex and intensive (my indoor bike app ranks em as…[Read more]

Hey Tony, similarly to you i do, if not all, most of the services by myself, my bike pretty much had the same issue for the number of months, it was ride-able but with an annoying noise coming from the derailleur as if the chain was constantly rubbing to something in certain gears and shifting issues despite of my repeated adjustments, finally i…[Read more]

Hey Bartman,
I can’t see any photos, have you sold em or just forgot to add the pic? what color?
What’s your normal shoe size? and what would be the right size in Fizik for you?
Never had Fizik that’s why want to get more feel about its sizing, in sport shoes I’m 8.5-9 US.
and lastly how much you’re asking?Cheers,

problem solved, power2max does not require crank length, it directly reports power:)

Thanks Craig, as you saw this morning 800 seems to be different. After ride though I paired up my garmin with Dean’s Garmin Vector and it instantly brought up the crank setting option under the bike profile. I was hoping that probably I can set the crankset there and then switch back to my power2max. Sadly when I paired it back with my meter the…[Read more]

Guys,
Finally I’ve got my PM (power2max), another number to worry about I suppose 🙂
put it on last weekend with not much of trouble and my garmin 800 instantly paired up with it, the issue I’m having now is that there is no where I can configure the crank length. According to Garmin website, crank length will appear under bike profile when for…[Read more] -

Hey Patrick, listened to your advice and ended up with Power2Max 🙂 costed me a foftune though as i opted not to down grade from my Campagnolo! Missed the chance to have it on for this weekend ride so first trial would be next Tuesday:) just wondering how can I set my crank length in my Garmin 800, doesnt seem they have allowed for it for third…[Read more]

Talked to my LBS today and being advised that stages is about to release 5 different sets of carbon crank options inclusive of Campagnolo Record and Super Record soon!!! checked out the internet and yeap that’s correct, there are some indicative prices around in Euro but nothing firm in AUD yet. Just wanted to pass on the news in case someone’s…[Read more]

Thanks Andrew, had a look at their website, seems to be a brilliant idea:)
@Patrick, thanks for the reply, surely you have a point here which is quite valid, have to admit that i’m a bit of diehard on keeping my Campag crank, recently changed the chainrings as well. If i have to change something I rather change my hub and get a powertap;)…[Read more]

Thanks Andrew, DCrainmaker is one of those that you can miss, lots of reviews pretty much about everything. I’ve had a good chat with some of the guys last Sat after the ride and now I’m more convinced that right/left split is not really necessary at least for my situation, so The way forward for me is either Garmin vector 2S or powertap with more…[Read more]

Hi all cycling fellas,
Am sure many of you have been here before! what power meter to pick? and what level of accuracy is really adequate for a non-pro rider:)
Didn’t take long to understand that my Campagnolo set up has limited my options. If we put the power2max aside (which has Campagnolo crank option in its product list at about $2500) my…[Read more] -
