Had an interesting chat with a Traffic Officer this morning (with Channel 9 reporter in tow) about the finer points of intersection use at the junction of St Georges Terrace and Barrack St.

Apparently there is a focus in the CBD on intersection use by all road users (not just cyclists apparently) for the rest of the week, so just something to be aware of on your commute.

A no tolerance approach is being taken to red-light jumping and it will be an immediate ticket which I think is fair enough. For the record, I didn’t get a ticket!
