so, i had the pleasure of riding along the new freeway bike path a couple of times this week. it was great to see that they actually made it wider and put in retaining walls to stop the dirt edges from reclaiming the path. i suppose what was more surprising to most non-cyclists, was just how many people use that path on a daily basis. with the diversion pushing the riders out onto the main mill point road intersection, drivers certainly got to see more cyclists than they would be used to. as the weather continues to improve, more people will start the commute to work via bike. it usually means that we will also see an increase in riders attending our club rides. if you are one of those fair weather riders, it’s time to dust off the bike and come out with us again.
