the artwork for the spr accessories has not been finalised as there seems to be some issues in communication.  as such we will be leaving the orders open till after this weekend july 11th.  sorry for the delay.

when you put your order in, you will receive and email with the bank details.  once you have paid and your transaction has been verified, you will receive the same email but the subject will be “Purchase Receipt”.  please make sure that you put your name in the netbank transaction reference box.  a couple of people haven’t and it makes it hard to verify any transactions.

below are the final approved designs.  we are still waiting on the winter gloves and shoe covers.

i have started the ball rolling for the order of the accessories.  these will be produced by champion systems and will include summer gloves, winter gloves, lycra booties, neoprene booties, socks and caps.  have a look at the 1st draft artwork that i will be sending to them and add your comments to that page.

if anyone is having the bulging issues with the full zip spr jersey and would like to get the zip replaced, i am collecting them this week.  at the moment, the best they are doing is putting a shorter zip in the front.  it looks like what has happened is the material was stretched to fit the zip, then once it bounces back, it automatically bulges the zip.  if, when you lie your jersey flat, the zip is not smooth, then we can get it replaced. 

however, i feel that the main reason it bulges when you bend forward is that the jersey may be too long if you have a short torso.  the zip seems a bit too coarse too, but i have discussed this with cannibal but they are having trouble sourcing an open ended thinner zip.

anyway, send me an email to work out a time to drop it off.  i work in the city so can arrange to pick up there or in como after work.  or come down to spin with fynn on wednesday night and join in.  i would like to get them sent off by the end of the week.

ok, we have had quite a few entries in for the cycling cap design and they are shown below.  just click on each one to see a more detailed picture.  i have done my own one where i have stolen design concepts that i like from the other caps.  let us know your preference by adding to the comments section below.  we will see what everyone’s opinion is and go from there.  these are no way final designs, so if a lot of people like a design, but think it would look better in a different colour, we can easily change it.  if we get the numbers, there is also no reason that we can’t get two different designs.

i will be reviewing final designs this week and post them on friday for people to vote on.  get your designs in soon.  so far we have one from tracy, gregor, michael w and heiko.  ben is currently doing one with his crayons but i am afraid of what the result may be.  i may also do one taking all the good design points from the current entries and combine them into one.

i am in the process of designing the gloves, shoe covers and socks for the run of accessories that we need.  there is also a cycling cap, but i need some ideas of how you would like it to look.  attached is the design template with our name/logo.  get out your coloured pencils and send me your ideas for a cycling cap.  i will post the best ones and we can then vote on which one will adorn our skulls during winter.

i have received a few complaints about the new full length zip in the jersey.  it seems that a few people find that the bigger zip does not give as much and will buckle when it bunches up, especially when you are leaning forward.  the bigger zip is so that the jersey can easily be done up while riding as the thinner version on the normal jersey makes it hard to perform a one-handed operation.  i think that this issue will mostly be those people that find their jersey a bit loose so the material has somewhere to go.  mine does this a bit but not as bad as daniel’s in the picture.

if you do have this issue, send me an email so i can get a feeling for the size of the problem before i contact cannibal.  don’t wear your jersey too much in the meantime.

i have spoken to cannibal today and we will being doing the new jersey with a full length zip and no elastic in the sleeves.  there is a slight increase in the cost, but we will absorb it this time around.  therefore the jerseys will still only cost $95.

so, if you already have a jersey and want the euro look so you can tackle the hills like a schleck, you have till the 15 feb to get your orders in.
