we are going to try something same, same but different. i have posted 2 saturday ride routes today but they both have similar start and finish sections. we are looking at splitting early this week and the fast boys will turn off early onto north lake rd and head down route 16 while the main group will continue down to stock rd and do route 13. there is about 5km difference between the two routes, but if you opt to be in with the fast boys, then make sure you know the way as we won’t be stopping. the main group will need some leaders and i would appreciate some people putting up their hand early and responding to this post to say you will lead the way. the main group will be doing a fairly standard ride that almost everyone should know and it is up to them to organise some roll throughs and set the pace. we will see how this goes and if successful, i will look at building some more routes that follow this format.
sunday, as always, will involve hills.
Pete, i’ll help out with the Canning Vale reverse group (SPR’A). I hope it will still be a relativly hard ride, but matched to the group capacity, and that we largly keep the group together.
I’ll be joining you Russell!
I won’t be joining you Russell
Hi, Enquiring about the Saturday ride 17th January, if you are still meeting at Coode st jetty at 7am. Gavin, Paul, Bert and Xander would like to join you on the ride. They average between 30 – 35km per hour. Will you be doing the ride around the river??
Mary
mary, we still start at coode st jetty but the route changes each week. if you look above at this post there are a couple of saturday rides listed. click on the heading and it will take you too a map of where we are riding. this week we will be doing something a bit different where we split into two groups early and the fast group will be averaging between 35 – 40 for their ride and hopefully meet back up with the main group as we return via shep rd.
look forward to seeing you guys there.
peter
i’ll be taking a map 🙂
I’ll probably ride with the fast group for 1km, get dropped, and then after that by myself.
Russell I’m with you!
I’m looking for the a hill for Group 1 that matches Canning H’way in Melville? They are looking for a win at any cost.
The rabbits are ready!
well i think this format does certainly spice it up a bit.
the challenge now is going to be how to find a pathway to migrate from the faster group to the ‘more’ fast group.
i think i have the answer. it’s called ‘wheel sucking’ and i am reaching zen status on this fine art now.
