SPR & RCCC Present the Champion Systems Criterium Series

The flyer pretty much says it all – but start firing those questions in and Peter and I will start answering!

These crits are events that everybody in our club can participate in – whether you are an A grade rider in a team or riding in the transitional groups you can come and have a go!

We will also be needing volunteers.  Not much, just a couple of hours of time to man a corner, rego desk or finish line.  This is a bit short notice we know – so we might be asking people directly if we dont get enough volunteers.  Basically we expect each member to volunteer for one of the events – that way we all get a ride 🙂

  1. I can help with the first one as it will be my rest day, I have a christening at 10.30 so can help with setup etc and stay for half of it at least.
    Pete has my number let me know what time u need me there.
    Nico

  2. @miket88 these are club events. So you can purchase a day license on the day for the race. But yes you will need one per day – therefore it may make more financial sense to purchase a full license.

    @brendan rest day? whats that? thanks for the offer though man – your experience will be a great help on the day 🙂

  3. Anything to get out of a hills ride 🙂 Count me in for both racing and helping. But I think D grade may be a better starting point as I’ve never even seen a race before?

  4. Woooo going back to back with the dusk till dawn and criterium, I’m gonna be smashed Sunday afternoon!
    Haha nah but i wouldnt miss it guys, awesome work to get them all organized and compiled into a series. Count me in for B grade and watch out, technology park is my favourite circuit 😉 haha
    @Toby you racing B mate?
    and @ anyone, if you’ve got a spare small SPR jersey kicking around that you’d be happy to lend to me for a day gimme a yell. I’ll be there either way (provided I survive Sunday night) but I’d love to be racing in SPR colours now that I’m qualified to!

  5. uh oh! this is going to hurt, isnt it? at least im not as crazy as NDCC Nic, doing that 12 hour as well…you go Nic. (Glad your in B not A grade, you too Toby!) Count me in for C grade. Now who’s going to volunteer to drag me around and keep me out of the wind till the last 50 metres? I will be away for the second one, but will put my hand up to help out on one of the January races.

  6. Excellent. I was going into the Hills this Sunday until I saw this!! Put me down to help out from whatever time is req’d. If traffic mgt is an option I’ll take that gig so long as I get a walkie talkie and Stop/Go sign!!! Love that control….oh, and I guess I’ll race too.

    Toby – let me know – Pete’s got my number.

  7. I’m aiming to be there to assist, what time do I need to get there?

    Toby, my number should be on the club member list if not El Prez has it.

  8. Hey Toby, just thought I should flag this. I drove thru Sarich Way today and there is major underground cable work happening with ditches and fencing stakes out of the ground all over the place. Maybe this has already been checked or they will be done by Sunday but just thought I would drop a line re what I saw. Cheers Leon
