hot days in perth with bush fires, rain and floods up north, in qld and down the east coast. devastation everywhere. our thoughts are with those in qld at the moment who have lost so much.
spr kit order – as you may have seen, the kit order is up and running. ordering can be found here. instructions as to what you are eligible for are here. ordering is easier this year as you use your credit card to pay through paypal as you do the order. you have till the 23rd of jan as we intend to send off the order on the 24th. i talked to cannibal today and they are based in tweed heads just south of the gold coast so they haven’t been damaged by the floods.

Are the Main groups doing the same route as last week? At least I may know where I am headed 🙂
hope all ok post fast group spill…could not stop for coffee – so no idea what happened exactly.
From what I heard, it sounded like a case of a wobble from a rider sent a line of wobbles down the pack, which caused a wheel to touch, and boom, down go 5 guys. Sounds like everyone was OK, but Johnny broke his handlebars.
five bike pile-up.
few cut and bruises.
jonny broke a few carbon bits.
de castro landed on the road but managed to hold his new bike off the ground so it didn’t get damaged.
few others off as well.
didn’t slow them up on the way home though. i got dropped a couple of times.
Few wobbles in line and when I wobbled to the right, I felt a tire rub against my rear tyre twice. Then silence before the carnage. Happy to see everyone up off the floor when I turned back.
Poor Jonny was saddest as his bike had taken the biggest hit and needed a tub change + handlebars were cracked. Jude was standing there gingerly telling us how sore his a$$ was going to be before showing us how it looked.
I only realised there was indeed a fast group when two other groups came down the road, I thought I was in Main 1. Decided to give the legs a little hit out 🙂
Handlebars have a ‘pitted’ ridge in them and were OK to get me home. I guess the problem with carbon is even though they don’t look too bad they still can be badly damaged and it’s not worth the risk.
I was P!ssed off at the time, but not with anyone in particular these things happen, just annoyed that a landed on the side which has actually still not healed from a crash on the track last month.
C’est la vie. Hope everyone else is OK.
Jonny, get some lead put in the other hip so next time you will land on that side.. 🙂
I hope you mend fast..
You would be used to feeling broken by now..
I don’t think he needs to mend fast, he was looking good this morning
