spr team kit – orders are open

at last.  after a number of hold-ups we are finally live with the ordering of the new kit.

orders can be made through the team kit page and there are links at the top to the online shop.

there are two shops and it is important that you know what each is for.

the first shop is the “full price shop” while the second is the “discount shop”

the “discount shop” is for those that have previously purchased garments in the old design.  these people are eligible to get 1 of each garment type that they have previously purchased.  this is subsidised by the new kit sponsors in order to get the new logo’s out to the public as quick as possible.

basically it works as follows –

  • if you have 1 jersey, 1 knicks, 1 vest you can get 1 discounted jersey, 1 discounted knicks and 1 discounted vest.
  • if you have 7 jerseys you can get 1 discounted jersey.
  • if you have 2 jerseys and want 2 new ones, you can buy 1 discounted jersey and 1 full-price jersey.
  • all previous items (except arms, knees & undergarments) are available on discount.

the “full price shop” is for everyone else and any extra garments that people want.

there is also a new long sleeve jersey that is lined for winter use.  this saves you wearing an undergarment, jersey and jacket.

ordering this year is even easier than before. 

firstly you need to register on the top right just like you need to do to be able to add comments to the blog.  if you already have access, then login as per normal. 

basically you select the garments you want in the size you want (note that there are women’s sizes and there is a size chart at the bottom of the page) and add it to the cart.  you can continue shopping and add more item before heading to checkout.  if you want more than one of a particular size of garment, then you can update the number at the checkout.

once you are happy with your selection, you can add your details and click the “make purchase” button.  this will take you to paypal where you can pay in either of 2 ways.  firstly, if you have a paypal account you can pay using that.  secondly, you can use your credit card to pay via paypal.  put in all your details and you are right to go.  paypal will then email you a confirmation of payment and the online store will also verify that your order has gone in.

orders are to be open for 2 weeks with the order being sent off on the 24th of january.

    I want to try an XS wind vest for sizing. Does anybody have one they can bring on either a saturday or weekday ride? I will carry it for the ride too so you won’t have to.

    Will the discounted items be available later on? Emma has not been riding much (ok, she hasn’t been riding at all) but will probably begin again after her exams, at which time she’ll probably give me grief for not getting her a set of the new kit. Will she be able to buy the new kit at a discount then or do we have to do it now?

  6. ronny – the discounted kit will only be available in this order. the idea is to get the sponsors the best exposure that we can and give an incentive for people to get the new kit.

    jason – we will probably look at doing another order in about 6 months time, but by the time that arrives we will be heading out of winter and into spring. best to get it now if you can.

    1. anna – we have organised “special” knicks for you. They have 2 inch legs 🙂 We also have special jersey done for Jen – it has shoulder pads in it.

      1. hahahaa very funny.. before you know it 90’s fashion will be back in style and you’ll wish you had shoulder pads too! SPR – the trendsetters in cycling fashion.

  10. I am having the same trouble as nathan, its asking for ZIP code and the only thing i can enter is “Australia” which obviously isnt a ZIP code. Secondly, why do i need to enter a ZIP code if its getting shipped to SPR address???

  11. don’t worry so much about the ZIP code as everything will be send to the presidential palace for further distribution, probably at the coffee shop.

    And on that note if any new or existing members were chasing current SPR gear I have the following for sale due to needing all medium sizes now:

    1 x Large pair of bibs with brace – $55 (used like 2 maybe 3 times?) in excellent condition
    1 x Large Microfibre jacket/ Wind braker in excellent condition – $45

    That’s half price on each item…

    I’ll be in Adelaide as of the 15th until the 24th

  18. Hi guys, I have just joined spr after a recommendation from a collegue. But, would like to do Thursday morn training ( tomorrow) but cannot locate the start time, got the place ok from the route map but the time seams to elude me

    1. Hey Luke, the time is 5:30am.. there will likely be two groups leaving – the first being the fast group, and the second a minute or so later, at a slightly slower pace.. be good to have you along!

      But now that one of your orders has been accepted, I shall delete the other 20 that failed.. 🙂

  22. Not sure anyone else has the same problem I have but I’ve measured up and compared against the size chart and it looks like I’m a X-Large on each of the measures. Now I’ve always had Large (sometimes Medium) clothing (and no I did not indulge in too much Xmas pud – in fact I’ve dropped about 3-4kgs to just under 80Kg) (am 1.8m height)….Question have other people had the same surprise – is this supplier sizing a bit smaller than others? Any comment/advice?
