in order to increase the safety and develop the skills of the riders in spr, we would like to offer to send some people on a cycle skills course. this is a level 0 coaching course and is the prerequiste if you want to go on to develop as a cycling coach. the club is willing to pay for the course and so we are looking at who is interested.
however, this isn’t a free lunch and if the club pays for your course, you are expected to give something back in return. in this case it means putting some of those skills to good use by being a ride leader. for those that are already ride leaders, then we would encourage you to sign up. in fact, preference will be given to those people that are already ride leaders. as we don’t have any “club coaches” at the moment, this is the first step in getting the required skills to allow the club to develop fully.

Jeff Jorgensen.
I’m possiblly interested if there’s a spare spot.
I would be keen. There is a small chance I might get called away that weekend, but I will know in advance and someone can take my spot if needed.
I’m keen but can’t make the date suggested as I’ll be away that weekend.
Hi Pete, the course info sheet mentions a first aid certificate as a prerequisite. What is the situation regarding having to have one / obtaining one?
we are also looking into what we can provide in regards to first aid training too. there may be some cycling specific first aid courses available.
im keen to do this too – but will need to do first aid as well.
as this is med july we need to get cracking on organising.
