Cycling WA and Cycling Australia present Level 1 Commissaire training – Tuesday 25th September 2012

Level 1 Commissaire Training

This is a fantastic opportunity to get officials trained in this important role. Its not difficult to get the accreditation and the benefit to SPR is immense. Level 1 Commissaires assist our club to run efficient, safe and fun club events.

Cost: Free

Venue: Training Room, Department of Sport and Recreation, Vincent Street, Leederville (enter the north side)

Course requirements:

·    Pen and paper ready for note taking

What you receive:

·    resource workbook for you to complete

·    4 hours of Level 1 Commissaire instruction by an accredited Cycling Australia Official/ Assessor

·    Commissaire Accreditation with Cycling Australia and recognized by the Australian Sports Commission upon completion of all requirements. You will also be provided with a Commissaire Polo shirt.

The further requirements of the course need you to:

·    Please make your own assessment of the Working with Children check legislation as per the DSR website at http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/working-with-children.

·    Undertake an assessment of your abilities, after the completion of the workbook.

·    Complete the Commissaires workbook and return to the Cycling Australia office within 60 days of the course.

·    Satisfy the Accreditation requirements of the Commissaires Workbook.

·    Maintain Cycling Australia membership to retain qualifications.

What you can do with this qualification:

·    Assist SPR to run efficient, safe and fun events by acting as a Level 1 Commissaire to our club events
