the national road championships is the pinnacle of one day racing in australia. the cream of the crop of international riders are pitted against the local domestic teams and individuals that are trying to make a name for themselves.
greenedge had the numbers today but they didn’t have to use them as durbo just stayed out front and did what he does best.
our own jonny bolton was in the mix and managed to hang on for the majority of the race. he even put in an attack which was well timed enough to allow me to get it on camera.

a breakaway of 7 went from the gun
the peloton was not too worried (see jonny on the left)
after 100 kms, jonny had a crack on the first part of the climb
off the front
