Ride Routes 28th June – 4th July

This year the Tour de France commences in Lille Métropole, located in Northern France within the Hauts-de-France region bordering Belgium on 5 July. All stages are within French boarders and the final stage concludes along the Champs-Élysées in Paris on 27 July.

To celebrate the event in style, you and your family are invited to come along to Chez Pierre in Nedlands on Tuesday 15th July; cost $85 with multiple choices from a three-course menu plus coffee and BYO included.

This event has always been an excellent night with Chez Pierre putting on an amazing food experience. It is after all something for which the French are renowned. Bring your own wine to make it an extra special night as corkage is included in the price. All dietary needs are covered so please specify when booking your tickets; sample menu here

Juniors Ride — Given the CX racing on Sunday and some personal commitments on Saturday, there will be no junior ride on Saturday.

I hope this will be a good opportunity to make good numbers at the CX race on Sunday! After 3 sessions of training I think the kids will do very well!

PS Sending kudos to Riley Winson who won his age category at the X-Speed junior race last week 💚

From the Ride Coordinator — The forecast keeps improving for the weekend and we should have a cold but dry Saturday morning. Expecting to see the return of the Fair Weather Riders! This month’s Ride Coordinator is a staunch member of the FWR 🤣 Sunday is also looking good for more riding! 🙌

Thank you everyone for following our carpark etiquette. All groups are moving up & out in a smoother manner helping the rear groups to get away quicker & out of the way of cars.

A safety reminder:

  • Don’t ride up the inside of cars when stopping at a red light. Stay behind whatever cars are already in front of the group.
