Hi guys, is anyone heading down to the Pemberton Classic that I can bribe for transport for myself and a bike? I’d love to compete in the road race in A or B grade, this was my first race last year in D grade but I don’t have a license.

Yes, tranny is transitional. The pace is variable, groups will regroup just after major climbs (transitional dont do a hills ride). I average about 30-31km/h on the hills rides, however that’s with about 45km on my own.

emilylee: it’s the first race on the UCI World Tour (pro racing) calendar, unfortunately none most us aren’t quite up to that level so we’ll be spectating. There are participation events that go over some of the same course as well, although I’m not keen to do those.

Hi Paul,
Repeats ain’t my thang, but if you’re up for afternoons in the hills I regularly finish at 2pm and I’ve started hitting the hills on a choice weekday straight from work. Usually aim for 3 climbs to total about 1.3km or so by the time I get home.
