i have decided to start blogging again. they are never going to release my other pages, as i have had to put in a request three times now and it is still blocked.

i also miss the act of blogging, and i guess there are a few people out there that miss the content no matter how puerile.

so, starting this weekend i will be happily blogging away.

so this sunday we have the state road championships in roleystone and six of our regulars will be attending. as we are all old farts, all of us will be contesting the masters divisions over 114km. it is also my birthday on sunday, so my present will be to do a long race potentially in the rain. woo-hoo. for this reason i have kept the sunday ride away from brookton hwy as it may get congested.

sunday you are on your own again as five of us are heading down south to collie for the tom lowry memorial race. ryan has decided to ride the busso half in a team on the saturday and then back it up with the race on sunday. oh to be young again (he still doesn’t qualify for a masters licence like the rest of us in the race team)

i will not be able to make it this week as i have decided to have a crack at the tour de perth support race. after having not raced since about 1992-3 my body should be in for a rude shock. doing the sunday ride means that i know the hills, but am used to stopping and waiting at the top of each climb. don’t think i will get a chance to do that this week.

a fast day planned for saturday, we will go hard on shelley, bannister, and the last bit of shep rd after welshpool rd intersection. regroup after each section and make sure you box ryan in for the final sprint.

sunday will be a repeated loop for the benefit of those doing the tour de perth the following weekend. i have mapped out three circuits, but it may be two depending on how the group feels. don’t forget that daylight savings finishes this weekend.
