there has been a bit of talk about the sleeveless jersey that we looked at last year.  we originally didn’t get enough orders to make the minimum but if there are people interested we can look at it again.  we should get in quick before the weather heats up so that by the time they arrive, there will still be some summer to wear them in. 

if you want to get rid of those “oh so cool tanlines” on your arms or have some massive guns that you want to show off, then these are for you.  or maybe you are after an spr christmas present for a loved one.  hint, hint. 

minimum order is 20 so if we don’t reach that then each item may cost a bit more than the $80 we were originally quoted.

guys and girls.  the current kit order has been put in and a deposit has been placed as of a week and a half ago.  so far less than half of the people that have ordered have paid for their kit and it should hopefully arrive in about 2 1/2 weeks time.  if you didn’t receive and email from me letting you know how much to deposit and where, then send me an email and i will let you know.  however, the balance of the kit order needs to be paid before the kit is shipped so if you haven’t paid by the time it arrives, then won’t be receiving your kit.

in addition to the jerseys and knicks order, we are also exploring any interest in some more specialised items of clothing.

a skinsuit is generally worn by those doing track or time trials as there is no need for pockets and a more aerodynamic fit is preferred.  there are a few people that do time trials and the atta club run events pretty much all year round. 

a trisuit is for those cyclists that generally like to get wet before jumping on the bike, then for some reason want to go for a run afterwards.  there are some current tri-hards in the group, so those that are looking at doing a few triathlons this season, may want to do them in spr colours.

due to the smaller order amounts, both these may be one off orders.  so don’t wait and see what they look like as you may have missed out by then.  if you are interested, have a look at the size chart on the kit order page and send me an email here.  indicative prices at the moment are $175 for the skinsuit and $155 for the trisuitbut these may be subject to change due to the small run of kit.  there is also the options for a long-sleeve skinsuit for an extra $15.

got a bit of a surprise yesterday as there were three bags delivered from cannibal.  a surprise because we haven’t paid yet.  anyway the jerseys, knicks, bibs and vests have all turned up.  none of the jackets, arms, knees or undergarments are here yet so the order isn’t really complete. 

for those that have only ordered what has arrived, you can organise to collect from me whenever you want.  for those that still have items coming, i am reluctant to distribute your kit just yet as it makes it hard to keep track of things.  if you really need it though, let me know.  once it all arrives, i will be doing a delivery to the coffee shop for distribution after the saturday ride.  i will let you know when that will be (hopefully soon as i want my jacket for the mornings).

a few people that bought a jersey in our last order have mentioned that some of them are a bit big.  if you have a jersey from the initial order and bought another one in our recent order, can you please check any size differences when laid out flat, from armpit across.  it seems to mainly be affecting the large size garments, but if you have an issue please let me know asap as i need to contact cannibal about this soon.  if you have a previous cannibal brand jersey (i.e. livingston optical) check against the new one to see if there is a difference.  one of the women’s large jerseys was about 1.5cm larger in the latest order.  either comment on this post or send me an email.

well we managed to offload the majority of the kits last saturday after the ride.  there are still 18 people that have not collected and you will need to contact me via email to organise a time to collect.  there has been a slight problem with the print on the winter armwarmers and i am waiting for replacement ones to come from cannibal.  so if you ordered them, they will not be in your kit bag at the moment.  anyway, it is a bit hot for full roubaix lined armwarmers.

as previously mentioned, we are going to do an order for a sleeveless jersey.  there are a number of you that have been sporting the muscle tops lately so i thought that it may be a garment that we can add to the collection.  this way we can promote the group all year round and will also, hopefully, reduce the prominent tanlines on the arms.  we have orders for 10 so far and we need to get to 20 before we can get them made.  they will be $80 each and i am hoping to get the order in by monday (as i am flying over east on tuesday).  if you want one, send me an email.

we are still collecting names for the spr tri-suit as well.  if you do triathlons and would like to do them in spr colours, then let me know.  this order may take a bit longer to fill, so not sure when we will actually be seeing them in action.

update –  our latest run of cycle kit should be arriving this week and i will be looking at distributing it this saturday at the coffeeshop after the ride.  any hats that haven’t been collected will also be bought along.

i have got a quote for a sleeveless version of the jersey for those that don’t like the tan lines over summer.  they will be $80 and will look like the style shown below (but in spr colours).  if you want to order one, let me know by email.

also, as the triathlon season in underway, a couple of the guys thought it would be great to show the spr colours on the tri scene as well.  we have got 2 quotes for tri-suits which will match the spr kit.  the new ultra fast trans suit is their new thing and has mesh bits for venting etc, but will cost $175 while the original fast trans suit will be $155.  the main difference for us will be the minimum order as the new ones need to get 20 while the older one only needs 10.  again, if you are interested send me an email.

i have added a new page at the top that provides details of the new team kit order.  we will be taking orders over the next couple of weeks, but availablity of items will depend on us reaching the minimum requirements per garment.  you can let me know what you want either via e-mail or by filling in the order sheet at the coffee shop on saturdays.  like last time, we will not be ordering extra kits, so whatever you don’t order this time, may have to wait at least another 6 months before we order again.
