ride routes 14th & 15th jan

sunny days and warm nights, that is what summer is all about.  not in victoria, though.  it has been absolutely freezing over here with a max of 16 deg and strong winds that cut through you like a knife.  i ended up missing the time trial champs because the weather was so  bad.  i have also packed too many pairs of shorts and not enough long pants and jackets.  i feel like i have been wearing the  same clothes all week.  even if i had brought my bike with me, i am sure that i would not have brought my winter gear with me.  so looking forward to getting back to perth.  even with all my family over here, it still feels like home in perth.

ride routes – we do need someone to step up and look after the saturday groups.  sunday will split halfway up welshpool so make sure you know your ride routes or you may end up on the wrong ride.  oh, it also involves the chookenberg, so make sure you have your granny gear on.

  1. I haven’t done the Benara Rd route before with spr but I know most of it pretty well from my regular cycling travels.
Putting a tentative hand up in the air to help one of the Main groups if required.

  2. I’m looking at the course profile for the long ride on Sunday and thinking Pete is trying to punish us for having such nice weather whilst he’s stuck in “winter” without a bike…
Yes I know “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger”, but I think this one may try very hard to kill me! o_O

  3. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. that’s right. put one of my saturday favourites up when u know I’ll be away in Badelaide. Bet the first ride back will be “lennie hill road” just to get me all upset. unhappily i was deep in a coma and missed my beloved fri morning ride. hope nick behaved himself .. ;0)

  4. Thanks Carlos for being ‘Commando’ today of Main 1…you certainly know how to keep the brigade in line!!! A personal thanks to Mr Seale and yourself for pulling back on the final leg to tow me back into town :-).
