Zack, racing is the best training. Just man up, and pin a number on big guy :). …but please, don’t let me stop you from riding around a car park for 20 minutes…. P.S. – isn’t what you’ve just described there essentially a D grade race??) P.P.S. – Nathan – you’ve been giving it a […]

Fair call, i was kind of thinking of using the public access path along Mts Bay, but you’re right that there’d be traffic either road or path-way.

$40,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I understand the whole logistics thing, but surely this must be one of the larger/largest Club-kit-type runs Cannibal have run (i’m guessing corporate/event-type stuff would have high runs, but not so much club kits)??? -

I’d take the white, but probably take a black also. I think it’ just time to pull the trigger (pending sponsor funding, etc.).
@michaelroper – I hope that’s a helmet ordered from an aussie website….

Looks great. Nico, agreed. Reflective strips aren’t PRO at all, lights are the way to go, plus they come with the added bonus that they help YOU see others, but then again i guess we’re lucky(?) that we get to wear fluoro clothing to work, complete WITH reflective strips (is it jealousy?) AND reflectice helmets!! […]

Good post Nick, particularly after last Tuesday’s well-observed-traffic-signal-moment. I guess it’s even more pertinent with there being seemingly more road users at this time of year (particularly cyclists).

Agreed. One would’ve thought that the purchase of a GPS would allow it to function as designed without the added extras. On the same topic, and to be nice and facetious, i bought a shirt the other day, and it came with buttons to, thus allowing to excercise it’s functionality as a shirt, much nicer […]

Pete, Looks great, very black, but black is the new black (which is the old black too) – white is for last years poseurs. It’ll be a little hot in summer though, but then again, it’s hot in summer. Either way i’m too busy/lazy/pre-occupied to design any different and so i have no grounds for […]

Training ride write up by Jarrad After a mixed bag of weather for the week, the gods seemed to put on the perfect riding morning, albeit a little earlier than i’d prefer. Whilst i’m no advocate of changing the ride times, it seems that by the usual 0600 alarm sounding, i’ve already been up and […]

D,
Real men ride up hills in 53×11……. but agreed, particularly when riding into a head wind, a turn or two makes the load easier for all.

Great write up and great to see you getting amongst it. To be honest, the majority of the pain was inflicted at the 20-30 km mark with the headwinds and crosswinds really hurting some, which certainly eased when the winds were at our backs. Besides, the main group will always come through and sweep up […]

Brilliant write up Morrison, although one of the only ‘problems’ with showing off one’s talent for prose, is that people shall impose the duties upon oneself more often.
It was a fantastic morning, with the only let down being the lack of coffee and associated banter.

When i get around to writing up last weeks fast group ride, i was going to address this also. I understand that the past few weeks he been exceptions due to racing and what-not, but realistically, i believe (correct me if i’m wrong) that the fast group has been waning of late. One of the […]
