Road Nationals 2026 SPR EOI β€” It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating and wrapping up Road Nationals 2025, but it is coming around again. Last year we felt like the club left things a little late so we are getting in early this time around.

Please follow the link below to register your interest in riding the in the Nationals with SPR. This will give us time to get teams organised in all of the events and you plenty of time to ensure you have kit πŸ™‚

The Road Nationals will be hosted in Perth from 7 – 11 January 2026:

If you think you might like to participate/compete, please register your interest going via this EOI:

And don’t forget, the kit shop is open on the Mayeur website for orders.

Rapha Women’s 100 β€” All the details last week and on the Facebook but please note that this has been rescheduled to Sunday 5 October in deference to the less than friendly weather on the cards for the original date.

Get involved!

Any questions feel free to get in touch with SPR Chicks Co-ordinator Claire Tyrrell at women@southperthrouleurs.com.au cktyrrell@gmail.com.

Tour de Cowaramup 2025 β€” The TdCowaramup is on again Sunday 12 October 2025; multiple distances/climbs and funds going to support local communities and charities.

Racing this weekend – If you want to race, or get in on the action watching others race, read on.

1. Ballidu Gravel

2. State Senior Road Championships (5/Oct, hosted by PDCC)

3. WCMCC Chidlow B – Graded Road Race – Winter Season 2025 (5/Oct)

4. MCC Midland Traders 100 (26/Oct)

Juniors Ride β€” As mentioned previously I organised a group ride in Ballidu on Sunday to ride the 40km gravel event. There was a group of SPR juniors last year who did it and we really enjoyed it, apart from the flies that were very annoying!

Details about the ride are as follows: https://ballidugravel.com.au/rides/

The aim is to ride the “yes you canola” event. Ballidu is about 2.5 hrs north east of Perth. The ride starts at 1pm and we can do a day trip to Ballidu.

If your child is interested but you cannot accompany her/him I and the other parents will be happy to assist.

For this reason, there will be no ride on Saturday.

From the Ride Coordinator β€” At SPR, we encourage riders to have a degree of self-sufficiency to cover: punctures, loose bolts, etc, that may arise whilst on a group ride.

In addition, regular bike maintenance by an expert does more than just keep the bike running smoothly. It can prevent accidents caused by loose parts, brake-failure, cracks, gears slipping or chains dropping. Have your bike checked, or do it yourself if you have the knowledge, experience and the tools.
