SPR Ladies Ride – Monday 5:30am

The SPR ladies meet the first Monday of every month (or the following Monday in the event of a public holiday) for a ride around the river.

The next ride is this Monday, 11th March, commencing 5:30am from under the Narrows, city side.

The route is the SPR Thursday route….with all of the shortcuts (Warrath, Kintail)

It finishes at the Raffles, or Atomic for those not rushing to work.

No one is left behind, so regardless of which SPR group you ride with,  come along and join us.  It is a great morning out.

Kit orders now open

wongy_kit_modelSPR kit orders have opened again. These will close at midnight, Sunday 10 March and you can expect to be wearing your new purchases on 20 April 2013.

There are a broad range of products available, including winter jackets, gloves and bootie covers.  We will have a few winter jacket samples (not for sizing) abailable at Dome after the Saturday ride on the 2nd and 9th of March.

Essential information for ordering is below, or you can download yourSPR kit wishlist_March 2013.

Who can purchase the kit?

All current financial members of the South Perth Cycle Club (South Perth Rouleurs) may order the kit.  This means you need a current CyclingWA membership where you have chosen South Perth Rouleurs as your local club.  People with Extraordinary Memberships may also purchase a kit.  This type of membership is for those that regularly ride with the group but are members and have insurance through other nationally recognised associations (MTBA, TriAUS, BMX, Audax) or another affiliated club (e.g. ATTA).  More info can be found under the Members section.

If you are not a member as of 10 March 2013, your order won’t be processed.

How do I order the kit?

Order are done directly on the Champion Systems website (not the SPR site).  This is called CS Direct.

Once you have setup your personal CS DIRECT order the system is much like an online shopping cart allowing you to select items and pay for everything online.

 Go to www.champ-sys.com.au

1.  In the top left hand corner click on the ORANGE box – Custom Clothin Portal Login

2. Enter the INITIAL LOGIN (spr) and PASSWORD (spr) and click SIGN IN (left hand side screen ‘Returning and CS Direct customers’).

3. Fill in your personal CS DIRECT details and click CREATE ACCOUNT

4. You will be brought to your personal CS DIRECT page. Find the picture of the item you wish to place order and click ORDER NOW (or use the menus on the top left)

5. Use the interactive order form to order your items. You can save your order and return to it later.

  •  You can order additonal items from the range that may not have been designed. The kit committee will approve these before production.
  • Need technical assistance or advice – call Champion Systems on 02 9525 2533 or email                    sales@champ-sys.com.au   Or see your friendly SPR kit committee kit@southperthrouleurs.com.au
  • A 5% postage/handling/credit card fee will be added by Champion Systems to your order at the final checkout

Inaugural SPR girls ride: Monday 7 January

Emma Goodwin and fellow female Rouleurs have been discussing the addition of an “all girls” ride to the SPR calendar.  Whilst the girls may be known to chat a little bit, every now and then we do turn our words into actions… so…

INAUGURAL GIRLS RIDE MONDAY 7 JANUARY

Meet at 5:30am under the narrows (city side) – this is where the Tuesday and Thursday ride starts from.

Route: Thursday river loop with all of the short cuts to shorten the ride a little and flatten it out a bit.    http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/163184328

Pace: at a comfortable speed to suit all riders in the group. Absolutely no-one will be left behind.

Aim: to socialise, have fun, meet new people within the club and improve our group riding skills.

This first ride will be a test run and we can chat about what was good and what can be improved upon for next month’s girls ride (Monday 4 February).

Oh.. and of course coffee afterwards is scheduled at Atomic

Look forward to seeing you Monday morning,

Emma Goodwin

Kit orders open at the SPR shop

You can now visit the SPR online shop to purchase your new kit.  See the 2013 SPR Kit section.  Orders close midnight, Saturday 8 December (next Saturday).

If you are ordering triathlon attire, please note the images in the store are the standard Champion System images.  All triathlon attire will come in the SPR brand, similar to the jersey and knicks.

How do I become a member?

Visit our memberships page to join and found out about the range of membership options available

Is there a limit to how many discounted jerseys and knicks I can purchase in this initial order?

No, as long as you are a member you may purchase as many items of kit (for yourself) as you like.

What if my children want to dress up just like their Dad?

We have added a children’s jersey to the list of available jerseys .  Children under 12 years of age don’t have to be an SPR member to wear the SPR jersey…as long as Mum or Dad are.

When will the next kit order occur?

There will be another kit order open in February with delivery in March/April.  The full range of items will be available (and more), but prices will not be discounted.

Remind me, what are the different types of jerseys?

There are three jersey types and a range of jersey cuts. Refer to the sizing charts to see which will fit you best.

What if I’m as tall as Greipel or Vansummerren and I would like my knicks a little longer?

It is possible to have your knicks made slightly longer.  After you’ve placed your order, email kit@southperthrouleurs.com.au and we can arrange.

When can I try on the sizing kit?

The sizing kit will be available at Dome this Saturday (8 December) from 7:30am to 10:30am.  This is a bit earlier than last week to assist those members who dedicate Saturday mornings to junior sport.
