We have had a couple of withdrawals for the Pemberton Classic this weekend so there are one or possibly two beds available.

    PS – anyone driving down on Saturday afternoon and wanna give me a lift? I’m not sure what form I’ll be in after a 27 hours flight and it’ll be nice to have the option. Otherwise, Ill play it by ear. I might even end up driving down on Sunday morning

  3. ronny, i am still undecided about heading down on saturday arvo, so i will let you know. we just spent the last two weeks traveling around so not sure if i want to keep driving. also i am going back to work on tuesday for the first time in 2 1/2 months so i may need to get my head right first. anyway, i will let you know.

  6. hey, bite me guys. 12 years hard labour with rio so i deserve to have 2 1/2 months off (and get paid well for it). i checked my leave allowances and i still have about 9 weeks left, so bite me again when i take another 2 months off at the end of the year (home for christmas, watch the bay crits, watch the national titles in ballarat).

    anyway, i will not be racing in pemberton as my 2 weeks away were combined with two weeks of the flu. even the mtb with ben this morning hurt somewhat.

  9. i am unsure about coming down as it is a trade off between supporting the club and doing my own training. i am already behind the eight-ball after 2 weeks off the bike so am basically back to “everyday commuter level”. i want to do the freeway bike hike race and i only have a few weeks to get back into shape.

    i guess it will depend on a number of things (mostly non-bike related) as to whether i make it to pemberton. if i do, i may also have young ben with me as well.

  10. If you do stay home this weekend, Pete, please set a “moderate” course for Sunday for those of us out of shape. It’ll be my first Hills ride in a while, so I’d like to make the finish without having to get off, or cry, or both. Hope all the wounded and sick parties from the last week are on the mend.
