Glamour Push

In an attempt to encourage more females to ride, the City of Perth is driving a Glamour Push campaign.

Check out the website for some top tips on “glamming up” your riding.

I expect to see all you ladies in your best frock, full bodied hair and caked on make up at our next ride (baguette in the basket is optional).

I have already taken some tips on board and have started riding to work with my nice dress rolled up under my leggings. I feel hot.

Please note that I am in full support of encouraging more women to cycle but also find this mildly amusing.

  1. What!!!…. Are we SPR girls not glamorous enough already?!?! 😉
Besides, a basket of flowers may impede my week by week exponential progression through the group rides!

  2. Oh my word, the fact sheets are funnier than the original concept because it shows that people were actually serious about this.
Fact sheet 96-still no sign of a lace white kit.

  3. These fact sheets are fantastic!

There’s plenty of great tips for the guys and girls:
Factsheet 65: Keeping an eye out for snakes on paths

Factsheet 22: Dealing with a furry problem (equally for guys and girls)

..and well, for alll of us….
